I Want Worms

With all the talk about Scrabulous closing down on Facebook this week, it reminds me of the one and only Facebook app that should exist. Last I knew, it did not. Sad times.

There is only one word that can describe this app: freakin-awesome. This game is Worms, and according to Wikipedia is owned by Team17 Software who needs to get their ad-driven-revenue-priorities straight.

In case you are are not familiar with Worms, get familiar. To help, here are a few videos:

Now, it typically does not have the silly music but instead has silly worms that talk. Here is an example of Holy Hand Grenade in the 3D version of the game:

See, freakin-awesome.

Brewfest 2008

Last night I traveled to Waterfront Park in Portland to have some beer. As usual Brewfest is crowded. It also has beer though.

I have to say the three hours I was there was plenty. It was fun and all, but the $9 beer gets old.

If any of you are planning on going, do yourself a favor and eat dinner before you go. I went straight from work and did not have a chance to eat before. So I was pounding down beer, trying to sample as many as possible in three hours, on an empty stomach. The hangover was not that fun.

I Cannot Sleep

I sit here. It is 5:37 am PST. I am wide awake. I have even been up for two and a half hours. Yes, I got up at 3:00 this morning.

After sitting in bed wide awake for an hour this morning, I said screw it and got up. I thought I was going to handle the time change just fine until this happened after coming home, but I guess there were a few bumps. Then again, loosing three hours of sleep is not a big deal, given it is almost 3:00 pm in Amsterdam.

I am actually quite impressed with my productivity. In the last hour and a half, I have gone through more than 400 emails I missed while being away from work for two weeks. I have also done some catch up on some of the feeds I regularly read. All in all, a good morning thus far.

Hey, look. The sun came up.

Roo wanted to know how my trip to Europe went, so I am making a post for it. Well actually he wanted to know how the women are.

I wanted to let you all know I am back and safe. I am planning on a full series of posts explaining the two weeks. For now Roo, you might like to know the women in Barcelona are not too bad on the eyes.

Until later.
