Diplomas are Sexy

It’s official; I now have a piece of paper which says I have graduated college.

Today during my lunch, I ran over to school to pick up my diploma. And wouldn’t you know, they spelled my name wrong. For the record to all that read this, there are two (2), yes, two (2) of those nice letters we all like to call ‘n’ in my last name, but you already knew that of course. They were nice enough to fix the error right there on the spot though.

I have not been able to check my grades yet (to see if I actually passed my classes) because there is a hold on my account. Apparently, you cannot get grades, graduate, register for classes, or even breath at the University of Portland with a hold on your account, but you can pick up your diploma.

If I get a chance, I will try to scan it and put a picture up here, so that all of you can see what it looks like without either graduating from UP or coming to visit my house. But first I have to find a scanner – since I don’t have one.

I would like to thank my parents for teaching me how to believe in me. Without them, I would probably be flipping burgers or something boring like that.

The only thing I’ve used mine for yet is to get me a better rate on home insurance…

“there are two (2), yes, two (2) of those nice letters we all like to call ‘n’ in my last name” Technically I believe it’s you, or more accurately your retarded ancestors, who are incorrect in not knowing how to spell man. But who am I to talk, my last name is based on “tailor” :P

Bout damn time. Slacker. Oh wait, you had a business something in there didn’t you? Anyways, grats on the diploma and such. I just found my high school one in some box in the attic. I suppose that I can always frame them and look like one of the cool kids in my cubicle.

    Congrats!

The name is German you twit. And the next time you make fun of my ancestors, I will break your face in.

Well James, thanks for the suggestion. I am working on a new version of the site; let’s see how it goes.

Wait a second, you mean all those years of hard work, pain, frustration, and the hundred thousand dollars were a farce? They just tossed out the messed up one and gave you a new one for free? I feel gyped.

Also, I recommend nl2br(). Very easy to add line breaks to user-submitted posts.
