To get rid of all this damn spam, I have decided to install Akismet. Yes, you guessed it, that’s a SPAM blocker for these comments. I was going to wait until v2.1 which I am planning to have out this winter, but it was too damn annoying. I would also like to thank Alex for creating a PHP5 library.

Ray informed my Google will unregister my site if I keep existing SPAM on my site. I was going to keep the SPAM on the link above for historical reasons, but have decided to get rid of it. Akismet has a nice way of registering false positive and true negatives, so I made a script for it which I was going to do anyway eventually.

Yeah, I turned Akismet on, and I haven’t had any comment spam. I did have an issue with my chat box for a while, but I wrote a nice keyword filter for it and it is working like a charm.

I’m not sure if I’ve ever commented on an akismet-using site before. I wonder if it works. Hey, how about setting a text colour on the site?
